About Glenn Gabe of the Internet Marketing Driver

Glenn Gabe of GSQiInterested in learning more about me? OK, I’ll try and keep this as brief as possible...

After graduating college in 1994, I was fortunate enough to attend a presentation at an IBM conference center where a technology expert was presenting to the top 50 retailers in the country. He was presenting the web, but at a ridiculously early stage. Halfway through the presentation, about 3/4 of the room had emptied out, but I was glued. See, I already had been browsing around the web at a blazing 14.4 Kbps! :-) The presenter hopefully went on to become filthy rich, even though he left with his head down and his tail between his legs that day…

The Internet Bug...
I had caught the Internet bug and spent the next 7 years developing websites, web applications, and interactive presentations for The Perrier Group of America (now Nestle Waters). My skill-set grew as I added programming languages and applications at light speed. Classic ASP, SQL, ASP.net, Flash (starting with Flash 2), Database-Driven Websites Using SQL Server, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc. You get the picture! I was able to assist several divisions of the company, especially since we experienced tremendous growth during that time period. It was fun, to say the least.

Hello Entrepreneurship
In 2001 I started my own company, G-Squared Interactive LLC, to help companies utilize next-generation technologies to market their products and services. I soon productized a video-based e-Marketing platform called Heighten Marketing Technology®, which enabled my clients to seamlessly use a flash video environment to market their products and services, while tracking key activities in a .NET-powered backend. The reporting was in real-time. Using Heighten, I was able to assist a wide range of clients across several verticals, including Online Auctions, Video Production, Medical Products, Politics, Health and Fitness, and Consumer Goods.

Can You Help Us?
As my client list grew and internet marketing soared, I was brought in to assist companies on several dimensions beyond specific video-based campaigns. It makes sense, right? How do you drive people to your campaign landing pages or microsites?? So, I became heavily involved in Search Marketing, Email Marketing, Social Media and Word of Mouth Marketing. And, as the campaigns grew in size, I began to work extensively with various web analytics packages, such as Coremetrics, WebTrends, and now Google Analytics.

Which brings us to present-day Glenn Gabe, and a job title that AT&T inspired me to create (if you’ve seen their recent wireless commercials):
